Terra cotta - Each panel of nylon embedded terra cotta clay starts as a very thin slab, similar to fabric, and is cut into a pattern. A slight curve is formed in the clay sheets with nesting molds and using layers of foam the clay is pierced, formed and made into a cube with five sides, fired and placed in a grid. The biomorphic textures are contained and displayed––a reference toward domestication.
