ARTIST STATEMENT

Tatiana Zaytseva is a contemporary artist based in Miami, Florida, originally from Smolensk, Russia. With a background in Philosophy from Moscow State University and extensive studies in Art History, Art Theory, and Contemporary Art, Tatiana blends diverse cultural influences with intellectual depth, bringing a unique perspective to her work.

 

Artist's practice resides at the intersection of post-postmodernism and metamodernism. She embraces the post-postmodern return to sincerity, authenticity, and emotional engagement, focusing on meaning, hope, and the search for truth in a fragmented world. Simultaneously, her work is imbued with metamodern sensibilities—oscillating between irony and sincerity, complexity and clarity. She engages with depth, empathy, and a sense of revival, challenging norms while remaining true to her aesthetic vision.
